Hem Tape for Denim

Bristols 6 has introduced a great new product called Hem Tape for Denim. It is the first product of it's kind (why didn't someone think of this sooner)! It is specially designed as a quick fix to alter the length of jeans and other pants. It can be used on other fabrics as well. Sometimes when you want to wear flip flops with your jeans they are too long, but you also want them to be able to accommodate your three inch platforms. Dossier Shop in Fort Greene Brooklyn

Dossier a fashion and art magazine has opened a shop in my neighborhood (Fort Greene) in Brooklyn. The shop is in the lower level of a brownstone. In addition to vintage clothing the store also carry's lines by Bless, Bodkin and Electric Feathers and a few lines of jewelry. They also carry art books, small run magazines and other artsy stuff. Posed as a community space, I think they need to host an event and get us locals hooked.

Perfect Summer Make Up by Sonia Kashuk

Sonia Kashuk's newest collection of cosmetics are perfect for the summer. I was lucky enough to get to try some of the fabulous new products. My favorite is the Super Sheer Liquid Tint. It comes in a pump like a foundation but it is light and shimmery and gives your skin a perfect summer glow. Jimmy Choo for H&M

It was recently announced that the latest designer collaboration for H&M will be with Jimmy Choo. The good news is the the collection will include the designers covetable shoes and bags as well as clothing. The bad news is you will have to wait! The collection will not be available until November 14 and will only be in around 200 stores across the world.

Gap CFDA Design Edition Khakis

The much anticipated Gap CFDA Design Edition khakis will launch at 10:30am today, June 16th the collection in NYC at the 54th & 5th flagship store location. Patrick Robinson, Alexander Wang, Albertus Swanepoel and Vena Cava’s Lisa Maycock and Sophie Buhai will be there to meet-and-greet their fans at the store. Starting June 17th the collection will be available at other Gap stores.

Council Boutique and Parlay Rose Wine Brooklyn

I attended a great event on Saturday at Council Boutique in Brooklyn. It was a wine tasting and shopping party for a Rose of Pinot Noir called Parlay. Parlay is a new wine brand by a Brooklyn based husband and wife team. It is made in Sonoma California and is a great wine from Pinot Noir grapes. It is much more lush than many of the dryer style Roses (Retail $18). Council boutique is the collaboration of Miranda Bennett (clothing), Genie Lee (antique furnishings) and Pamela Johnston (jewelry). Their beautiful store has a parisian vibe and will be doubling in size as they expand in the next few weeks. Located on Atlantic and Hoyt in Brooklyn.
